God’s mercy always prevails, for He desires fellowship with man. He sought and found Abraham, to cut covenant with him: I will make you a great nation, bless you so that you may bless all the families of the earth. I will be your God, and through you, the God of many nations. In return, you must separate yourself from your father’s house Gen.12:1-4. This covenant would thrive as long as Abraham trusted that God would do His word. His faith was ‘accounted to him for righteousness’ Gen.15:5-6.

Faith in God’s Word, Jesus Christ, makes you too righteous before God, and puts you in covenant relationship with Him, for: ‘to him who does not work, but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.’ Rom.4:5. Jesus is the ‘Seed’ of Abraham in whom all nations are blessed Acts.3:25b, not by genealogy or the observance of the law, ‘but through the righteousness of faith’ Rom.4:13. By His death, He mediated a new covenant which makes all who have faith in Him partakers of the promises of God Eph.3:6. Your position in Christ is an abode where you can do all things, relying not on your own strength, but on His Phil.4:13. Covenant makes you indomitable.

Satan was cast down to earth from heaven when he rebelled against God Rev.12:7-9; he will remain here until an appointed time, when an angel of the Lord ‘having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand’ will keep him there for a thousand years. Until then, the spirit of lawlessness will wreak havoc and perpetuate much evil on earth, as is being witnessed worldwide.

The Lord Jesus gave back to you the authority Satan stole at Eden; wield it by speaking God’s word. Like Jesus, never lack an ‘It is written…’ to counter the devil. Being a fallen angel, he too must join all angels to do the voice of God Ps.103:20. If you keep quiet, refusing to speak to situations, you deny the power of God’s word and, inadvertently, grant the devil permission to manifest in the realms over which you have dominion; your own portion of Eden.

Apostle Paul warned: ‘Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour… ‘ 1Pet.5:8. Let the devil know he may not have anything or anyone that is yours, and the matter is settled.

How can the believer use what he does not know he has?
