Believers will agree that none can be all that God ordained who conforms to the world. As the light of the world, we need be problem-solvers. Every work Jesus did on earth was by the word of God Jn.3:34; every problem was solved by a proclamation of, and performance of what is written. He showed by example that God’s word is fruit-bearing seed. He knew and believed only what His Father taught, not the traditions of men, or His own thoughts Jn.7:16-17.

We must thus set aside the traditions that negate God’s word; counter them daily and receive new wine. To do this successfully, we need break the old wineskins, the moulds we carried in our hearts and minds prior to being restored to the image and likeness of God. Jesus set us free from the bondage of tradition. He prayed for His disciples and for us, that we not be taken from the world but be sanctified by the Word, the Truth that keeps us while in the world. We are not of the world but are sent into the world to glorify God, that through us, men may know Him Jn.17:14-20.

This task cannot be achieved if we do not break from the bonds of tradition, if we align with the world way of thinking, ‘for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father; but is of the world.’ 1Jn.2:16.

To reign in life, we need be instructed in God’s word, and operate the superior way, the way of divine wisdom, by the enabling power of His Spirit who lives in us: ‘Wisdom is better than strength’ Eccl.9:16.

How to appropriate divine wisdom for every issue of life? It starts with the heart.

The heart is the womb of a man’s spirit. When you ask God for wisdom concerning a matter, a specific word is deposited in your heart. The wisdom of God is in His word. It is a seed planted when the Holy Spirit downloads what God has to say about the matter into your heart. What you receive your eyes have not seen, your ears have not heard, neither has your mind thought of 1Cor.2:9.

How does this translate to problem-solving wisdom?
