We continue the discourse ontraps to avoid when reviewing the gains of the

false or wrong prophecy
: Scripture
is replete with generic as well as specific promises for Jews and Believers.
Make sure you get the promise right before claiming it. Also, not every
prophecy you hear is for you. God’s word counsels that you test every spirit. If
it does not align with His Word, it is a lie not truth. Many have held on to
prophecies that sound good but that are not of God for them, and have been disappointed
when they did not come to pass.

cautioned in the mouth of Prophet Jeremiah:

Do not listen
to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless. They
speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord.’

‘I have not sent these
prophets yet they ran. I have not spoken to them yet they prophesied… ’
Jer.23:21-22. Beware false prophets
who say what God has not.

ignorant of the devices of the enemy
: Everyone destined for greatness
will face opposition; Jesus warned that as He was hated, so will we be.There is an adversary, be aware of his
devices lest he takes advantage of you2Cor.2:11. The prophetic word you receive from the
mouth of God must form the basis of spiritual warfare1Tim1:18. A praying believer appropriates
the power of Godto deal with
both manifestations of the enemy: to deceive like a serpentRev.12:9, and to sting like a scorpion. You have
power to tread on serpents and scorpionsLk.10:19, and cancel evil decrees against you,
causing everything around you to align with God’s agenda.

Use your authority – the word of God’s power that
upholds all thingsHeb.1:13– to rebuke demonic forcesTit.2:15, and dispel every opposition to the quality of
life you are promised in God’s word. Spiritual blessings are stored up in
heavenly placesEph.1:3,waiting to be released to you; you keep
quiet at your own peril. As you speak you deploy angels – ministering spirits –
to do the voice of God’s word in your mouthPs.103:20.
